Getting started

Requirements for online tutorials

You will need:

  • A quiet area in which to work.

  • A PC or Mac with internet access, capable of one-to-one video calls (e.g. Zoom, Skype or Teams).

  • A drawing tablet with a stylus.  You can buy a drawing tablet and stylus that connects to the computer through a USB. I’ve found that ‘One’ by Wacom works well and is less than £50 on Amazon. If you want a better pen, then the Wacom 'Intuos' range is excellent.

Please complete your details in the contact form on the 'contact me' page and I will endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours to arrange an online (Zoom) meeting. We can then discuss your child’s needs in more detail.

If you decide to go ahead, you will need to pay an initial fee of £75. This will secure your regular timeslot and will cover both an initial tech session (to make sure all the technology is working properly) and it also covers the first hour’s tuition.

After that you can choose whether to continue to pay for weekly tutorials in your timeslot, or, if you feel that this is not right for your son or daughter, then just let me know and then there is no more that you need to do.

“David definitely made physics much easier to understand and taught me how to answer exam questions properly. He was very patient when I found a topic particularly hard and explained it slowly and thoroughly all while teaching me how to apply that in the exam. I know I did much better in my exam because of his teaching.”
